The Matakana Book Festival is a two-day celebration of stories and books, bringing together local authors and the Rodney community. Hosted across three iconic venues, the festival offers a diverse program of events for all ages:

• Matakana Cinemas (Paradiso Theatre):

  • Opening Gala Event – Author panel and Q&A session.

  • Date & Time: Saturday, 18 October 2025, 3:30–5:30 PM.

• Mahurangi Library:

  • Children’s Authors Event – Live readings and interactive storytelling.

  • Date & Time: Sunday morning, 19 October 2025.

• Warkworth Library:

  • Adult Authors Afternoon – Talks and panels on historical fiction, crime, poetry, cuisine, and publishing.

  • Date & Time: Sunday, 19 October 2025, 2:00–3:00 PM.
