Creative Convergence is RICI’s annual, week-long Inclusive Arts Initiative, designed to use diverse art forms and experiences as a unifying platform to deepen understanding of diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. This initiative brings together local creatives, community groups, and marginalized communities from across the Rodney District.

Held in pop-up venues throughout Warkworth during the first week of December, the program aligns with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. By showcasing local talent and fostering collaboration, Creative Convergence broadens access to the arts. This meaningful engagement strengthens community connections, creating a lasting regional impact and raising awareness of inclusion.

Building on the success of RICI’s inaugural inclusive arts festival in December 2024, Creative Convergence 2025 marks the second iteration of this impactful event. It celebrates creativity, diversity, and community connection across the Rodney District. The festival brings together disabled and non-disabled artists, community members, and arts practitioners through a curated week-long program of public events, inclusive workshops, and accessible performances.

This project was supported as a pilot last year by the Arts Broker, and it’s fantastic to see its success leading to its return this year.
